Are backups really included free?
Yes. Daily backups are included in every VillageHosting plan at no extra charge. You get the backup storage, the tooling, and the restore capability — all included.
How do I restore from a backup?
Log into your portal → Services → your service → Backups tab. Select the restore point and what to restore (files, database, or both). For shared hosting, restores complete in 5–15 minutes. For larger plans our team assists and will notify you when done.
Can I download my backup to keep locally?
Yes. From the Backups tab you can request a download link for any restore point. The link is valid for 24 hours.
What if I accidentally delete a file and need it back immediately?
WhatsApp or call us — our team can pull a specific file or folder from backup within minutes for urgent requests.
Do you back up email too?
Yes. All email accounts and mail data are included in your backup. This covers inbox, sent, drafts, and all IMAP folders.
Can I get more retention than what my plan includes?
Yes. Extended retention (30, 60, or 90 days) is available as an add-on. WhatsApp us to add it to any plan.
