Refund policy

We'd rather you stay because you want to, not because you can't leave. This policy is deliberately generous.
The first 30 days — no questions
If you're not happy for any reason in the first 30 days of a new service, email hello@villagehosting.in and we will refund 100% of what you paid for the hosting plan, to the same payment method.
Applies to: shared hosting, managed WordPress, VPS, dedicated, and managed cloud.
After the first 30 days — pro-rata
For annual plans, after the 30-day window, we refund the unused portion of your term, minus any promotional discount you received at signup.
Example: if you paid ₹2,499 for a 12-month Grove plan and cancel after 4 months, we refund approximately ₹1,666 (2,499 × 8/12).
What we don't refund
- Domain registration fees. We pay the registry upfront and they don't refund us either. You still own the domain and can transfer it away.
- SSL certificate fees (for paid / OV / EV certs we procure on your behalf).
- Migration / setup labour that was billed as a one-time fee (standard migrations are free).
- Plans paid for using promotional credits — we refund proportionally in credits.
How to request
Email hello@villagehosting.in with your account email and the services you want cancelled. A human will reply within a few hours.
How long refunds take
- Razorpay / UPI / Indian cards: 5–7 business days.
- PayPal / international cards: 3–10 business days.
- Bank transfer: up to 10 business days.
If we terminate for cause
If we terminate your account for breach of our Acceptable Use Policy, refunds are not provided for the remaining term.
