A senior SRE team for ₹3,999/month.
Hiring a senior DevOps/SRE engineer in India costs ₹30–50 lakh per year. Our Cloud Start plan is ₹48,000/year and gives you a Kubernetes cluster, pre-configured observability (Grafana + Prometheus + Loki), CI/CD pipelines, managed databases, and a rotating SRE team that actually responds in under 3 minutes during incidents. For early-revenue companies, this is a no-brainer.

Six things that come included.
Not upsells. Not \u201Cpremium add-ons\u201D. These ship with the plan.
Kubernetes, fully managed
Multi-node Kubernetes 1.31 cluster per customer. Pre-configured ingress controller (Traefik), cert-manager for SSL, Prometheus stack for observability. You write a Dockerfile. We handle the orchestration.
Git-push CI/CD
Every push to main triggers a build and deployment. Every PR gets a preview URL (Netlify-style, but on your cluster). Every deploy can be rolled back in one click from the dashboard. Blue-green deployments on Cloud Scale.
Full observability included
Prometheus metrics, Loki logs, Tempo distributed traces, Grafana dashboards — pre-configured and ready to use. No extra SaaS bill for Datadog or New Relic. Alert routing to PagerDuty, Slack, or WhatsApp.
Managed Postgres + Redis
Daily snapshots with point-in-time recovery (PITR). Automatic failover. Read replicas on Cloud Scale for reporting queries. You connect with a standard connection string — no infrastructure management needed.
24/7 SRE on-call (Cloud Scale)
On Cloud Scale, our SRE team is your incident Slack channel. Average first response for P0 incidents: 3 minutes. They help diagnose, apply hotfixes, and update you every 10 minutes during incidents. Post-incident report within 24 hours.
Quarterly disaster recovery drills
We simulate a full region failure quarterly. You get a written DR report. If anything fails during the drill, we fix it. Most companies fail their first DR drill — that's the point of doing them proactively.

use this when
You're building a multi-service application (microservices, queues, background jobs)
Revenue depends on uptime — downtime costs money measured in minutes, not hours
You don't want to hire 1–2 full-time DevOps engineers
Compliance requires audit trails, DR evidence, and SLA-backed uptime
You're scaling fast and can't afford to replatform every 6 months
don\u2019t pick this if
You have just one service — use VPS (it's simpler and cheaper)
Hobby or early-prototype project — use VPS and upgrade when there's revenue

"Conversion up 11% in two weeks."
We were on a US shared host bleeding 400ms TTFB. Village migrated us in one 2am window. Our Shopify-equivalent checkout now responds in under 60ms from Chennai. Conversion up 11% in two weeks.

"I don't go back."
We were on a big shared host for 6 years. Moved three clients to Village after the third outage. The cPanel experience is the same. The latency from Bengaluru is actually measurably better. Support replies in Tamil when I use Tamil. I don't go back.

Our production database went down at 1:18am on Diwali. Arjun was on the call in 3 minutes, restored from the previous snapshot in 11. On a holiday. From an actual Chennai office. I donated to their DC-tour coffee fund the next week.

What people ask before switching.
What makes this "managed" cloud different from AWS/GCP/Azure?
AWS, GCP, and Azure give you raw cloud primitives — you assemble them yourself or hire DevOps engineers to do it. Our managed cloud comes with Kubernetes pre-configured, CI/CD pipelines set up, observability dashboards ready, and an SRE team watching your cluster. You push code; we handle the infrastructure layer. Price-wise, our Cloud Scale is roughly 60–70% cheaper than an equivalent AWS EKS setup plus a managed RDS, managed Redis, and CloudWatch.
Do I need to know Kubernetes to use managed cloud?
No. You write a Dockerfile (or we help you with that). You push code to git. We handle the Kubernetes deployment, scaling, load balancing, SSL, and monitoring. If you want to access the raw Kubernetes cluster via kubectl, you can — we provide a kubeconfig. But most customers never open it.
How does CI/CD work?
Connect your GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket repository. Every push to main triggers a build, runs your test suite, builds a Docker image, and deploys to your cluster. Every PR or merge request creates a preview deployment at a unique URL. Rollback to any previous deployment with one click. Build logs are retained for 90 days.
Can I prevent a surprise billing overrun?
Yes. You set a hard ceiling in the dashboard. If autoscaling would push costs past your ceiling, we throttle rather than scale further, and we alert you. Most cloud providers let bills run to 10× your estimate. We don't. The ceiling is absolute.
What does 24/7 SRE on-call actually cover?
Cloud Scale customers get a dedicated incident Slack channel staffed by our SRE team. For P0 incidents (site completely down), first response is under 3 minutes. For P1 (degraded, not down), under 15 minutes. The SRE team will diagnose, apply hotfixes, keep you updated every 10 minutes, and send a written post-incident report within 24 hours. They don't handle feature development — only infrastructure reliability.
How does autoscaling work?
Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA) scales your application pods based on CPU utilisation and request-per-second targets that you configure. Vertical Pod Autoscaler (VPA) can automatically right-size your pod resource requests. Node autoscaling adds worker nodes when the cluster needs more capacity. You set the minimum and maximum bounds; we scale within those bounds automatically.
What databases are managed?
PostgreSQL 16, Redis 7, and MySQL 8. "Managed" means: we handle installation, configuration, security patching, daily snapshots, point-in-time recovery, and automatic failover. You connect with a standard connection string. On Cloud Scale, read replicas are available for PostgreSQL for reporting workloads.
Is my data stored in India?
Yes. All VillageHosting Managed Cloud infrastructure is physically located in India — Chennai as the primary region, Mumbai as the secondary for Cloud Scale multi-AZ. We do not route or store data through overseas nodes. This makes us DPDP Act compliant by default.
Can I run multiple applications on one cluster?
Yes. Kubernetes namespaces isolate applications within the same cluster. Cloud Start supports up to 3 applications. Cloud Scale supports unlimited applications. Each application gets its own CI/CD pipeline, ingress rules, and resource quotas.
What is the minimum commitment?
Month-to-month. No minimum commitment. Annual billing saves 20%. We don't require you to stay — your Kubernetes workloads and databases can be migrated to any Kubernetes-compatible provider if you leave.
How do I deploy my application to the cluster?
Three ways: (1) Git push — connect your repo and every push to main auto-deploys. (2) Dashboard — upload a Docker image or point to a container registry, configure environment variables, and click Deploy. (3) kubectl — we provide a kubeconfig for teams comfortable with raw Kubernetes. Most customers start with git-push and graduate to kubeconfig only when they need advanced configurations.
What observability tools are included?
Grafana for dashboards, Prometheus for metrics collection, Loki for log aggregation, and Tempo for distributed tracing — all pre-installed and pre-configured. Default dashboards show cluster health, pod resource usage, request rates, and error rates out of the box. You can add custom dashboards, set alert rules, and route alerts to PagerDuty, Slack, email, or WhatsApp.
Can I connect from my existing Cloudflare setup?
Yes. Your domain goes through Cloudflare (or any CDN) as normal — you point DNS to our load balancer IP. Cloudflare handles CDN, WAF, and DDoS at the edge; our cluster handles application serving behind it. We have a guide for configuring Cloudflare in proxy mode with our ingress. SSL on the origin (between Cloudflare and our cluster) is handled automatically by cert-manager.
What happens if I outgrow Cloud Scale?
Cloud Scale is designed to scale to 50+ application pods and multiple managed databases. If you genuinely outgrow it (typically at ₹2 crore+ ARR with complex infrastructure), we'll architect a custom solution — either a larger managed cluster or a hybrid with dedicated hardware. We've never had a customer leave because we couldn't scale with them. If that day comes, we'll help you migrate to the right infrastructure.
Is there support for secrets and environment variable management?
Yes. Environment variables are stored encrypted in our secrets store (backed by HashiCorp Vault on Cloud Scale). You set them in the dashboard or via the API; they're injected into pods at deploy time and never written to disk. On Cloud Scale, you can also mount secrets as files, use Vault dynamic secrets for database credentials that rotate automatically, and integrate with your existing secrets manager via Vault Agent Injector.
