cPanel
The world's most popular hosting control panel.
What is it?
cPanel is a web-based control panel that gives you a visual dashboard to manage everything about your hosting account — without typing a single command. You can create email addresses, upload files, manage databases, install WordPress, set up cron jobs, and view access logs, all through a clean point-and-click interface.
Why does your website need it?
Most website owners are not system administrators. cPanel turns complex server management into simple buttons and forms. When your developer leaves or you need to create a new email for a new employee at 9 PM, you can do it yourself in 30 seconds — no ticket, no waiting. It also means any web developer you hire can log in and work independently without needing root server access.
How does it work?
cPanel runs as a service on your server and communicates with Apache, PHP, MySQL, and other software through a secure internal API. When you click "Create Email Account", cPanel writes the correct configuration entries to Exim (the mail server), creates the mailbox directory, and sets permissions — all automatically. It also provides WHM (Web Host Manager) for administrators to manage multiple accounts from one place.
cPanel is included in every VillageHosting plan.
You don't need to configure or manage it. Our team sets it up for you.
